In preparing the delicious Yellow Laziale Bread, raisins were soaked in warm water and then set aside, candied orange peels were cut, and figs were crumbled.
Hazelnuts and almonds were chopped to mix with other nuts.
The bread dough was diluted with oil and a little warm water, while honey and chocolate melted.
In a bowl, flour, spices, cocoa, nuts, figs, orange peel, 1 egg, raisins, rum, and the warm honey and chocolate mixture were combined.
After kneading everything, a large bread was formed and left to rest for an hour before being covered with beaten egg whites, cocoa, sugar, and remaining flour.
After glazing, the Yellow Laziale Bread was baked at 180°C for one hour, then removed, cooled, and enjoyed in all its glorious deliciousness.
Yellow Laziale Bread
Ingredients
200 grams of Raisins
100 grams of Candied orange peels
100 grams of Dried figs
200 grams of Nuts (hazelnuts, almonds, pine nuts, and walnuts)
70 grams of Leavened bread dough
1 tablespoon of Olive oil
100 grams of Honey
75 grams of Dark chocolate
280 grams of White flour
5 grams of Spices
25 grams of Unsweetened cocoa powder
1 Egg, plus two egg whites
1 tablespoon of Rum
20 grams of Sugar
30 grams of Butter
Preparation
Step 1 : The raisins were soaked in warm water for 10 minutes, then drained and set aside.
Step 2 : The candied orange peels were cut, and the figs crumbled.
Step 3 : Hazelnuts and almonds were peeled and chopped along with the other nuts.
Step 4 : The bread dough was diluted with oil and a little warm water.
Step 5 : Honey was heated, and the chocolate melted.
Step 6 : In a bowl, 250 g of flour was poured, then spices, 15 g of cocoa, nuts, figs, orange peel, 1 egg, raisins, the dissolved bread dough, rum, and finally the warm honey and chocolate mixture were added.
Step 7 : All was kneaded until a smooth mixture was obtained, forming a large bread and letting it rest for an hour.
Step 8 : The egg whites were beaten to stiff peaks, incorporating 10 g of cocoa, sugar, and the remaining flour.
Step 9 : This glaze was used to cover the Yellow Laziale Bread.
Step 10 : A baking tray was greased with butter, and the dessert was carefully placed on it.
Step 11 : It was baked at 180°C for one hour, then removed from the oven and allowed to cool.
