Baked Pasta
Ingredients
400 grams of Short pasta
800 grams of Tomato sauce
½ Onion
350 grams of Ball mozzarella
70 grams of Parmesan cheese
2 Hard-boiled eggs
2 tablespoons of Breadcrumbs
50 grams of Flour
25 grams of Butter
½ liter of Milk
20 milliliters of Oil
1 pinch of Salt
Nutmeg
1 pinch of Pepper
Oregano
Basil
Thyme
Preparation
Step 1 : To begin, heat oil in a pot and add chopped onion, thyme, oregano, along with tomato sauce.
Step 2 : Cook everything over medium heat for about 40 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld well and the sauce to thicken slightly.
Step 3 : Meanwhile, prepare the béchamel sauce.
Step 4 : In a skillet, melt butter over low heat, then add the flour.
Step 5 : Stir continuously and cook for a few minutes to eliminate the raw flour taste.
Step 6 : Gradually add hot milk, stirring constantly, until obtaining a creamy, smooth sauce without lumps.
Step 7 : Season this mixture with salt, pepper, and a pinch of nutmeg for flavor.
Step 8 : Separately, cook the pasta in boiling salted water, but only for half the time indicated on the package, so it remains al dente and doesn't overcook.
Step 9 : Once cooked, drain the pasta and mix with the tomato sauce, part of the grated cheese, béchamel, mozzarella pieces, and a beaten egg.
Step 10 : Mix all ingredients thoroughly so that the mixture becomes homogeneous.
Step 11 : Finally, place this mixture in a suitable baking dish and bake in a preheated oven at 180 to 200 degrees Celsius.
Step 12 : Bake for about 35 minutes or until the surface is golden and bubbling, ready to serve and enjoy.
